BEIJING, April 5 (Xinhua) -- China will strengthen oversight of listed securities companies by promoting information transparency.     On Saturday, China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) introduced a regulation which said securities companies should remind investors about potential risks when shareholders decide to launch a new business or introduce an innovative business.     The annual report and half-year report by listed securities companies should include risk assessment conditions, as well as reasons for risk and probable effects. MOSCOW, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Russia and China "have similar positions" on the reform of the international financial system, Russian presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich said Monday.     Both Russia and China have voiced support for the notion of a "supra-national reserve currency," and the two countries have held discussion over the issue, Dvorkovich told reporters at a briefing.     "Indeed, we have similar positions," Dvorkovich said, adding the G20 London summit may initiate broad consultation over the issue.     The applicability of a supra-national reserve currency in the international balance and trade can be taken into consideration in the short term, said Dvorkovich, who added there is yet no serious discussion about using the currency in the cash flow.     The presidential aide also said Russian Ruble and Chinese Yuan should be included in the basket of the IMF's Special Drawing Rights (SDRs).     When speaking of the upcoming meeting between Chinese President Hu Jintao and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on the sidelines of the London summit, Dvorkovich noted it revealed the significance of bilateral ties for both countries.     Sharing a profound prospect for further cooperation, Russia and China have huge potentials for cooperation in the fields like energy, industry, service and cultural exchanges, he added.     Dvorkovich told Xinhua that having great potential for cooperation, BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) share "similar interests" on the assurance of the world's stable economic growth and the reconstructure of the international financial supervision system.     BRIC will continue to play a bigger role in the future global economic and financial system, he said.     Yet the four countries will not issue a joint statement alone at the G20 summit, since only one comprehensive statement, indicating all parties' agreed stance, will be passed at the summit, he added.

TOKYO, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Li Changchun, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), arrived in Tokyo to kick off his official goodwill visit Sunday afternoon.     Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, conveyed sincere greeting from the Chinese people to the Japanese people in a written statement delivered at the airport.     "China and Japan are important countries in Asia and the world at large. HONG KONG, April 12 (Xinhua) -- About 400 enterprises in the Chinese mainland had been selected to participate in the Renminbi cross-border trade settlement pilot program, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong Julia Leung said here Saturday.     Speaking on a radio talk show here Saturday, Leung said enterprises in Hong Kong would soon be able to settle trades in Renminbi through the banks with the selected companies in the Chinese mainland.     Noting the program can reduce the risks and cost arising from fluctuations in exchange rates, she said Hong Kong banks could expand extensively their Renminbi services from individual clients to enterprises.     When asked whether the scheme includes trade financing, Leung said authorities in the Chinese mainland would announce the details soon.     "The Monetary Authority has made full preparation for the program including conducting tests on the Renminbi clearing system," Leung noted, adding that "the system can start operation once the Chinese mainland comes up with the operational details."     When asked whether the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government would change Hong Kong's linked exchange rate with the U.S. dollar, the under secretary said the system had been working effectively and the HKSAR government had no plan to change it.

BEIJING, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- China's state assets watchdog will closely watch over projects implemented by state-owned enterprises(SOEs) in the country's massive stimulus package to prevent corruption, an official said here Sunday.     The State-owned Assets Supervision and Management Commission (SASAC) will strictly look into the progress and fund use of projects by SOEs directly under the central government, said the SASAC director Li Rongrong.     Many projects are estimated to see over tens of millions of yuan put in, making it a more important task to fend off corruption, he said at an SOE meeting on disciplinary inspection work.     China unveiled a stimulus package with a total investment of 4 trillion yuan (586 billion U.S. dollars) in November to boost domestic demand and offset the world economic slowdown.     Of the total, 100 billion yuan had been allocated by the central government by the end of last year.     Li said inspectors will particularly focus on projects in such sectors as power grids, telecommunications, transportation, equipment, construction and metallurgy.     The SASAC will also check whether the projects cause environmental hazards, consume too much energy and resources or result in excessive capacity, said Li.     A total of 4,960 Chinese officials above the county level were punished in a year ending November 2008, data show.
