Li said China will introduce multiple steps to increase supply of cancer drugs and reduce the cost for patients, and hoped that medicine producers can lower their prices to boost sales and benefit patients.
Li made the remarks in Sofia, Bulgaria, while he and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov jointly met with the media.
Li said China always believes that Europe is a vital ingredient to safeguard global peace and development. He said China would like to see a prosperous and stable Europe. China supports some of the CEE countries to join the European Union and respect their joining other international organizations and regional cooperation mechanisms.
Li suggested members' development strategies should be better aligned to cope with rising challenges and promote regional stability and prosperity. He also said China supports financial institutions like the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Silk Road Fund and the SCO Interbank Consortium to provide help in financing as members accelerate building regional transportation, energy, information and telecommunication networks.
Li said the income of a village doctor is very low so few people are willing to work in the village clinic.
Li said that the country will forcefully pursue high-quality development, a stance that was put forward by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, at the 19th National Congress of the Party.
